Driven & Kept

Glass & tint

Window glass may carry tint, a coating or another sensitive layer.

01 / IDENTIFY

Identify inside versus outside and check whether a film or coating is present. Reserve clean towels for glass.

02 / CARE

Use a glass-cleaning product and cloth permitted for that surface. Inspect in different light and separate ordinary residue from persistent deposits.

03 / KEEP SEPARATE

A window, an applied tint film and a display screen are not interchangeable. Do not jump from a streak to a blade, abrasive or household solvent.

Pause and reassess if:

Visibility remains impaired, a coating appears damaged, or deposits resist the normal permitted clean.

WORK FROM THE ACTUAL MATERIAL

This file is a starting decision framework, not a chemical compatibility certificate. Check the vehicle specification, any installer paperwork and the label of the exact product you plan to use. If these instructions disagree, resolve the mismatch with the relevant manufacturer before proceeding.
