Start at the connection
A foam cannon is generally used with a compatible pressure washer, while a foam gun is generally hose-fed. Match the exact fitting and equipment specifications before buying. A product photograph with a connector attached is not evidence that it fits your machine.
Understand the two stages of dilution
The mixture in a foam bottle is further affected by water passing through the equipment. A 1:10 bottle mixture does not mean the solution reaching the car is 1:10. Follow the shampoo and equipment instructions together; the calculator measures the bottle mixture, not the machine’s final output.
Decide what problem it solves
A foam accessory may help apply a chosen product evenly, but it does not remove the need to inspect dirt and use an appropriate wash routine. If you already wash effectively with a bucket, include equipment setup, storage and cleanup in the value calculation.
Avoid buying around the foam photograph
Thick foam is visually appealing, yet chemistry, dilution, dwell conditions and the contamination still determine the procedure. Do not increase concentrate simply to match a video. For wraps and other sensitive finishes, the relevant surface and equipment restrictions take priority.
Make the choice useful
Price the whole setup, including compatible fittings and the space to use and store it. Decide what the attachment contributes to your existing wash routine. A concentrated mixture left in the bottle is not proof of the concentration reaching the car, because the system adds more water during delivery.
